- Rich, I had the same feeling. I did decide to do the upgrade and
- there are pros and cons. I upgraded to the 1.40 firmware. My
- connections are definitely more consistant and usually at a higher
- rate. The big negative from my view is that I have become so
- accustomed to identifying a logon by its sound that it drives me nuts
- now that it is silent in Win95. The documentation says that they
- disabled the modem dial/connect sound only in the Win 95 software.
